Kylie Cosmetics Blush Hopeless Romantic Review

Kylie Cosmetics is one of the most raved product on the internet and I too was curious to try my hands on some of its products. There are many instagram sellers that sell Kylie Cosmetic products in India, but due to authenticity issues I never ordered from any of them. Few months back I made a small order from Kylie Cosmetics official site. One of the products that I ordered was ‘Kylie Cosmetics Blush Hopeless Romantic’. Today after using it several times, I am ready to share my views about the blush.

Kylie cosmetics came out with their blushes just few months back and they have a total of 5 blushes in their blush collection:

• Hopeless Romantic (matte orange red)
• Hot and Bothered (bright pinky coral)
• X Rated (subdued tangerine)
• Virginity (vibrant warm pink)
• Barely Legal (soft baby pink)

Price:

The blushes retails for $20 and contains 7.5 gm of product which is not too bad for the price.

Product Description:

The #KylieCosmetics Blush single is your secret weapon to create the perfect Kylie flush. Each Blush single comes with 1 matte pressed powder blush that can be used to recreate Kylie’s favourite looks or customize your own.

My take on Kylie Cosmetics Blush Hopeless Romantic:

Packaging: The blush comes in a bright red coloured cardboard box with the kylie standard drop shape pattern on the actual blush. The name of the blush is mentioned on the back of the packaging as well as the outer cardboard box. The name of the brand is mentioned on the packaging but it is written in a way with a very similar colour that it is not visible from all the angles. Inner side of the lid contains a full size mirror which is always a plus while travelling.

Colour and Pigmentation: Hopeless Romantic is a bright orange red blush as described by the brand. It is one of the brightest blush I own. Hopeless romantic is completely matte and has great pigmentation too. I am glad that the blush is not overly pigmented else it is a colour that can easily give you a clown face. The colour is buildable and can be build to the brightest of reds.

Texture: The blush is very soft and smooth to touch and it does not give fallout while applying it with a brush.

Staying Power: The blush has amazing staying power. I applied the blush at 9 in the morning and it was still there at 5 in the evening. I am not sure whether this blush is meant to be long staying or not but on me it stayed for a long time. It wasn’t as intense in the evening but I had a beautiful flush of colour on my cheeks at the end of the day.

Overall thoughts:

Overall I am amused with the blush. There were some controversies with the names of the blushes when they were initially launched and some people were not so happy with the formula. But for me, the blush worked extremely well. It has everything I expect from a blush.

Tough availability of this blush might be an issue, but it can easily be ordered from the official Kylie cosmetics website. Currently the brand has an offer of free international delivery above $60. So, ladies if you have few products that you would wish to try from the website, then this is the right time.

The blush is also available on Amazon.in or around 1000 bucks, but I am not exactly sure about the authenticity of the product.

• Not everyone would be happy with the name (tough this should not be counted as an actual con)

Will I buy this product again?

Yes! Not this colour but if I get a chance to order again I would love to try more colours.

Do I recommend this?

Yes! If you can splurge on a $20 blush then this is something that is worth trying.
