Today I will be reviewing another product from Lakme’s 9 to 5 collection and the product I have today is called Crease Less Lip Balm. These lip balms are available in 6 color options and the one I have today is Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Lip Balm Rose Affair.
Product quantity: 7ml
Price: Rs 400 (BUY HERE)
Ingredients: Not mentioned on the pack nor on the site
Product Description:
Caress your lips with a tinge of peach, or stroke them up with sinful caramel. Settle for the classic pink, or try a rosy spark for a change. Would you love some playful ginger at times, or maybe the charming coral glow? Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-less Lip Balm is your everyday office essential available in six vivacious shades. Its ultra-creamy texture glides smoothly on your lips covering the creases. SPF 15, vitamin E, olive oil and jojoba oil keep them nourished and healthy.
How to Apply:
- Pull out the cap
- Start applying from the center of your upper lip
- Work from the center towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth.
- Glide across the entire bottom lip.
Key Features:
- Everyday office essential
- Ultra creamy texture
- Easy glide on the lips
- SPF 15 protection
- Just the right hint of color
- Contains vitamin E, olive oil and jojoba oil for nourishing lips
Product Packaging:
The product comes packed in a peachy pink colored box. The box contains a transparent plastic tube with a twist open cap. The tube resembles the shape of a test tube. The tube is easy to press, and it has to be pressed in order to use the product. I liked the fact that this does not contain a separate applicator and has a small opening on the top to make the product work. This is good from the hygiene point of view.
My take on Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Lip Balm Rose Affair:
The product is said to be a creaseless lip balm but it works more like a gloss. It has 6 different shades, and the one I have comes out to be almost sheer on the lips, it just imparts a minor amount of pinky glow to the lips. When swatched on hands Rose Affair is a pretty peachy pink, but it loses it pigmentation on the lips, especially on pigmented lips. The balm is very soft and creamy in texture and thus feels extremely comfortable on the lips. Thankfully, unlike some other lip products, this one is non-sticky and is very moisturizing. For me, this product works as a lip balm as well as a lip gloss. The color does have some minute sized silver colored shimmer particles that can only be seen when the lip balm starts to fade from the lips.
The staying power of the product is also pretty good; it can stay for around 3 hours without a meal and can withstand minor snacking. Even after a full meal, some amount of shine and moisturization remains on the lips. The fact that I didn’t like is that when the product is completely gone from the lips, the lips feel extremely dry and an instant reapplication is required.
Another thing that I didn’t like about this product is its fragrance. Though initially, it smells like candy but the smell does not go even after application and when applied on lips, this smell becomes a bit too overwhelming.
Overall it is a decent product, it does moisturize, stays for a long time but it lacks sufficient pigmentation and only for a noncolored lip balm, this product is pricey.
Pros of Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Lip Balm Rose Affair:
- Decent and travel-friendly packaging
- Moisturizing
- Non sticky
- Creamy texture
- Good staying power
Cons of Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-Less Lip Balm Rose Affair:
- Pricy for a lip balm
- Not good in the pigmentation department comes out to be almost sheer on lips
- Fragrance does not go even after application which becomes too overwhelming
- No ingredient List

Would I buy this product again?
No, I would have liked it if it would have been more pigmented
Do I recommend this?
Not until you are ok with the fact that it does not impart much colors to the lips. If considered as a normal colorless lip gloss, this product works well
Rating: 3.5/5

thanks you dear
I do think it makes a pretty gloss, but I don’t really understand why they named it a lip balm!
hehehe that a really weird thing….a lip gloss being called a lip balm 🙂
Total dud!!!
hmmm….not a pigmented one at least
Lakme brand has so many great lip products, I wish it was available in the US. But I agree with you, I like my glosses to have a little bit more of pigmentation! I like the packaging of this product though.
ya they do have some good once….and i like the packaging too …
Too bad it isn´t pigmented enough. I prefer my glosses to apply a decent amount of color.

Good to learn it’s moisturizing and non-sticky but really too bad it’s not more pigmented, it does look like it could’ve been a really pretty color if it’d showed up more! Thanks for the review. 🙂
i wish that it would have been more pigmented 🙂
Great review!

Thanks Mel 🙂
I like glosses that have a bit more colour. Sheer is not my thing. And nowadays, I prefer matte lipsticks more.
even i like my glosses to be a bit more pigmented…..and true matte lipsticks look great …
Shame about the color pay-off. Maybe on lighter lips like mine it would look more pigmented.
true….it would surely look better on lesser pigmented lips ….
great product
