Hello, Beautiful Ladies,
Around 2 years back Lakme launched their new line called the Youth Infinity, with a beautiful violet colored packaging. I got excited for the range since the day I first saw it but didn’t buy it as my experience with Lakme skin care products was not very good. But after waiting for around a year, I decided to try some of the products from this range and so I bought the ‘skin firming day cream’, the ‘skin firming night cream’ and the ‘serum’. The products are claimed to have anti-aging properties which enable the skin to look younger. This claim made by the company and the attractive packaging of the products made me buy these items. Today after so long, when I am almost about to finish the product, I will be reviewing the Youth Infinity Skin firming Day cream.
This claim made by the company and the attractive packaging of the products made me buy these items. Today after so long, when I am almost about to finish the product, I will be reviewing the Youth Infinity Skin firming Day cream.

Product Description:
Get a youthful glow on your skin with the Lakmé Youth Infinity Skin Firming Day Crème. Endowed with anti-aging properties, it enables your skin to look younger after every use. This day cream removes the wrinkles and blemishes from your skin. The luminizing pearls in this cream instantly brighten your skin tone to give you a flawless look and the insta collagen boosters help improve elasticity and promote skin tightening. Regular use of the Lakmé Youth Infinity Skin Firming Day Crème shows spectacular results– a youthful skin that is free from dullness and aging.
My take on Lakme Youth Infinity Skin Firming Day Creme:
The first thing that caught my eye was the attractive packaging of the product. I am a sucker for good packaging and I do buy anything that looks beautiful. This skin firming day cream comes in a violet colored tub with a shiny silver colored screw on cap. Though the packaging is simple, but the shiny violet and silver attracted me.
Now coming to the claim made by the company, the company says that the product has anti-aging properties and it can remove wrinkles and blemishes from your skin. Unfortunately, the cream does not perform as claimed on me. I am in my late twenties and I do have some fine lines and blemishes on my skin, and now when I am about to finish the product, I can clearly say that this did not help much with either of those. I knew that the product is not working for me, still, I wanted to use the product as a normal moisturizing cream.
My combination skin which tends to get super oily in the t-zone. The cream made me look oily during the summers, but I assumed that it might work fine during the winters. But unfortunately, this too didn’t happen. In winters, my skin feels dry (the same that happens to everyone), and I started using this cream to moisturize my skin, but my skin still felt dry and I was able to see a white cast on my skin due to this cream. This seems to be something that was not being properly absorbed by my skin and so it wasn’t able to moisturize my skin from deep within.
Overall Thoughts:
Overall, after using almost the entire tub of the product, I can say that I am not at all satisfied with the day cream from Lakme’s Youth Infinity range. Though I did like the serum which I finished way too fast as compared to this day cream, but this cream did nothing for me.
Pros of Lakme Youth Infinity Skin Firming Day Creme:
- Beautiful packaging
- Did not break me out
- Can work better on mature skins due to ingredients like Vitamin A which tends to have anti-ageing properties
- Contains SPF 15
Cons of Lakme Youth Infinity Skin Firming Day Creme:
- Pricy, I bought 50 gm product for Rs 699, but Lakme has increased its price and now it’s available for Rs 725
- Leaves a white cast on my skin
- Makes me look oily during summers and does not moisturize my skin enough for winters.
- Does not work as claimed
- Feels heavy
Would I buy this product again?
No! I might buy the serum from this range again, but I would not buy the day cream again.
Do I recommend this?
No! I tried it almost for the full year during all possible seasons and it didn’t work for me in any of the seasons, so I would not recommend this, especially now when it is priced higher.

This does not seem to be a very god product, I have used a night cream from another range from Lakme couple of years back and liked it a lot
This looks like a great product!

Good product
Doesn’t sound like a product that will work on oily skin. And with just SPF 15 it is better for winter than summer.
Thanks for the great review. I would love for there to one day be a miracle cream. I hate that there are so many pricey ones out there that don’t do what they claim. Thanks for taking the plunge and trying it out and giving us an honest review.

Too bad this cream didn’t work for you. SPF 15 is less and still one will need a separate sunscreen for it!
Love the honest review!

With 2 out of 5 stars and a No for recommendation, then I won’t buy it either 🙂 I am like you, beautiful packaging and I want the product, but leaving an oily trace in summers and not moisturizing enough in winters, a no go, of course!

It doesn’t sound really good, I mean why repurchase a product which doesn’t moisturise in winter right?
