Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush: Fresh Coral

Hey Girls,

Today I will be reviewing a blush from Maybelline. The blush is called Cheeky Glow. These blushes come in 3 different shades and the shade I have is called fresh coral. I already do have many blushes but I was bored of using the same colors daily, so I thought of getting 1-2 new ones. I brought this particular one as it was cheap and new. Also I didn’t have any coral blush; all I have are shades of pink.

Packaging:

This blush comes in a small round white container with a transparent lid. The lid is sturdy and easy to open. Overall it is a very average packaging with nothing fancy. The only good thing is that the lid is transparent which makes the color visible.

My take on the product:

As the name suggests, fresh coral is a beautiful shade of coral which gives a natural flush to the skin. The blush does not contain shimmers and so can easily be used for office without looking obvious. Staying power of the blush is average, it does not stay for too long, but it easily stays for around 3 hours. These blushes are very soft and very easy to apply. Fresh coral have good pigmentation, one swipe is good enough to give a glowy look, but if you want some color, you need at least 2 coats. The product is a compact powder but is not powdery enough to cause fall off. You can easily swirl the brush around the product without the fear of losing some of the product.

Overall this is a good product that can be used by almost everyone without the fear of high cost.

Pros:

• Gives a natural glow to the skin

Cons:

• Not so good staying power
• No brush or mirror
• Requires at least 2-3 coats for the color to show
• Contains Parabens

 

Would I buy this product again?

For me this product is little above average and so I would like to try some other colors from the same range.

Do I recommend this?

Oh yes…..I do recommend this, especially because it is so affordable. So if you are new to makeup and want to try different colors that are not so costly but still do not want to compromise with the quality, this is the perfect product for you.
