Nykaa Pastel Nail Enamel Serenity: Review and Swatches

The product that I’ll be reviewing today on my blog would be one of the 4 blue nail polishes from my Nykaa nail polish collection. Nykaa Pastel Nail Enamel Serenity is a beautiful pastel blue color which is a must-have for the spring season.

I know that the fall is approaching and this might not be the best time to write about such a pastel shade but for girls who live in not so cold places, this can be an all round year color. Nykaa’s Pastel Nail Enamel collection has a total of 28 shades and I really wanted to try them all but due to budget restrictions, I just bought few of them.

Let’s start with how I feel about this shade.

Packaging:

Nykaa Pastel Nail Enamels come in a thin square looking glass bottle with a black lid. Like all the other polishes this one too has the wand attached to the screw on lid. The width of the applicator is decent to work with. It covers the entire width of the nail in two coats.

My experience with Nykaa Pastel Nail Enamel Serenity:

Color: Serenity is a light blue colored nail polish, but as it belongs to the pastel collection, the blue you have is a pastel one. Though majority people like to apply pastel shades during the summertime, I personally like them so much that I can even work with them during winters.

Pigmentation: The color has good pigmentation. The first coat gives the exact same color as seen in the bottle.

Texture: I am not particularly happy with the texture of Serenity. The color applies streaky on the first coat and even the second coat does not help to hide the streakiness completely. Though a third coat makes the color looks absolutely flawless, but then a lot of product makes the nails look heavy.

Staying Power: The staying power of the color is not too good. It might stay for 3-4 days but for me, it started to fade in just 2 days.

Overall Verdict:

The color or the formulation might have some cons, but I loved the way the color Serenity looked on my nails. For me, it was definitely a good purchase.
