Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation Review

Nykaa.com is a well-known website in terms of beauty products. Everything you want to normal to high-end brands can be found on Nykaa. But that’s not all, Nykaa.com does have their own line of makeup too. In the past, I have tried their nail polishes but I haven’t tried anything else from the brand. Last month I wanted to buy a new everyday foundation and I wasn’t willing to spend a lot of money nor did I wanted to go out to the mall to buy. So, after searching for few options on Nykaa I settled for Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation.

My experience with Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation:

Packaging:

Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation comes in a red colored cardboard box with a plastic bottle inside the box. The packaging of the foundation can not be called as pretty but the plastic bottle makes it safe to travel with.

Colour and Texture:

I am neither too light nor too dark as far as my skin color is concerned, thus I decided to go for the mid shade from their 5 shade color options. The color I thought would match me the best was 03 warm sand and fortunately, the color does match me well. The product is said to have color-adapting pigments which might be a reason to make it a perfect match for me.

Texture and Coverage:

Nykaa SKINgenius Sculpting & Hydrating Foundation is a light weight foundation which gives a light to medium coverage. I have tried using it with hands, a brush as well as a beauty blender and it does blend nicely with all three ways. The foundation will not cover major problem areas but it does help in giving an even skin tone and a radiant glow. The fact that the foundation is buildable, makes it easier to use for parties too (layering the foundation gives better coverage).

Staying Power:

On normal days I usually do not apply a setting spray and without a setting spray, this foundation stays for good 5-6 hours. After 5 hours, the foundation tends to break around my nose, which is usually the problem area for me.

Overall I would say that this is a good foundation for everyday use. The quantity and the price point makes it economical to use. And it has everything you might require for your daily requirements.
