Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Okurrr: Review and Swatches

Liquid Lipsticks are one of the most popular makeup product available in the market these days and every popular brand is making their own version of liquid lipsticks. There are all kind of liquid lipsticks available in the market but the most used ones are the matte formulas. Today I’ll be talking about ‘Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Okurrr’. I ordered some of the products from the Kylie cosmetics official site a few months back (Check out my haul here) and one of those was this beautiful matte lipstick.

Product Description:

The Matte Liquid Lipstick has high-intensity pigment for an instant bold matte lip. The extremely long wearing lipstick contains moisturizing ingredients for a comfortable, emollient and silky feel that does not dry your lips out.

My take on the product on Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Okurrr:

Packaging: Okurrr is not one of the regular Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipstick and so it is not in their regular packaging. It is from their ‘Koko Kollection’. Okurrr is packed in a beautiful white cardboard cover with gold colored drop design. The actual tube is even prettier. The tube is gold colored with Koko and the the drop design being transparent. This helps to recognize the colour from the tube itself (without opening). The lipstick comes with a normal doe foot applicator. The name of the shade is mentioned on a sticker pasted on the bottom of the tube.

Colour and Pigmentation: Okurrr is a vibrant fuchsia colored lipstick which can instantly brighten up any makeup look. It has become one of the colors that I use when I can’t think of any other color to match with my outfit. It has amazing pigmentation too. One swipe of the color and you are done with opaque fuchsia lips.

Texture: Being a matte formula I was expecting it to make my lips dry, but the lipstick is not at all drying. With moisturized lips, the lipstick did not even settle into fine lines. It was light and comfortable.

Staying Power: I loved the fact that this lipstick stayed intact on me for the entire day. It is a matte formula and it was supposed to last long but even after long hours of full Indian oily meals, multiple times a day, the lipstick was there. The lipstick did not felt cracky or patchy even after 10 hours of application. Though after 7-8 hours of application, the lipstick did wear out from the very inner corners of the lips but it was so minute that it wasn’t even visible.

• Instant bright lips in a single swipe
• Long staying power
• Does not dry lips
• Very comfortable to wear. Does not feel heavy
• Does not settle into fine lines
• No cracking even after long hours of application

Cons of Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick Okurrr:

• Not easily available in India
• Fragrance might be a problem for some, but as it goes away after application, I personally don’t mind that

Would I buy this product again?

Yes! I love this color and I would love to have some backups.

Do I recommend this?

Yes! If you love bright lips and want something that does not require any touch up, then this is the one for you.
