Hello Beautiful Ladies,
A few days back I did a Haul post from Shopmissa.com and in the haul, I showed some of the makeup products that I bought from the site. Today I will be reviewing one of the eyeshadow palettes that I got from the site: ‘L.A. Colors eyeshadow palette Mesmerize’. The palette is a 5 color metallic eyeshadow palette. These eyeshadow palettes are available in 24 different color options but as I wasn’t aware of the quality of the product, I bought just two. The other color I have is called Fabulous, which I will be reviewing soon.
Product quantity: 7.5 gm
Price:
The palette retails for $1.99, but as I bought it from shopmissa.com, I got it for just $1, which is almost half the original price. (BUY SIMILAR)

Product Description:

Create the perfect look with these 5 shades. Professionally selected and combined for the perfect eye palette.
My take on L.A. Colors eye shadow palette Mesmerize:
Packaging: The eyeshadow palette comes in a rectangular packaging with small round pans. A dual side sponge applicator is also provided with the palettes which come handy while on the go. The lid of the palette is completely transparent which helps to make the palette looks pretty. The packaging is sturdy which makes the palette travel-friendly.
Color: As the palette is a part of the metallic collection, all the 5 shades in the palette have a metallic finish. Though it does not have a matte crease color, but still the color selection of the palette is decent enough to create multiple eye looks. The 5 colors present in the palette are a metallic gray, metallic blue, metallic purple, a metallic green and a metallic champagne colored shadow.
Pigmentation: All the 5 colors in the palette are decently pigmented. When swatched with fingers they seem to be much more pigmented than they actually are on the lids. When applied with a brush on the lid, the colors impart a very sheer looking color which thankfully is buildable and required 2-3 coats to make the color visible. I am personally not very impressed with the pigmentation but for a $1 product, it is decent.
Texture: All the shadows in the palette are very smooth and soft in texture; they are actually so soft that there is a lot of fallout while application. When the brush is lightly brushed on the color, a lot of pigment comes on the brush more than half of which gets wasted while application.
Staying Power: The staying power of the shadows is not too amazing either, they do stay for a decent 2-3 hour, but after 3 hours they drastically start to fade. Thankfully the colors do not crease on the lid and thus they fade gracefully. The staying power of the shadows can be improved with a good primer, but even after a good primer, the colors stay intact most up to 4 hours.
Swatches:
Pros of L.A. Colors eye shadow palette Mesmerize:
- Super affordable
- Good color selection (though I wish it had a matte crease color, but still the selection of colors is pretty decent)
- Sober and sturdy packaging
- Travel friendly
- Buildable pigmentation
- Decent staying power, which can be improved a bit with a good eyeshadow primer
Cons of L.A. Colors eyeshadow palette Mesmerize:
- Not very well pigmented, color comes out to be sheer on lids with the first coat
- The colors are so soft in texture that there is a lot of fallout which causes a lot of product to get wasted.
Would I buy this product again?
I already have two of these and so I don’t think that I will buy it again.
Do I recommend this?
I personally am not a fan of this product, but if you are a starter and wish to try a variety of colors in an affordable price range, then this palette is a must try.
Rating: 3/5 (extra marks for the affordable price)
The shades are pretty, but they do lack pigmentation.
colors look lovely 🙂

All colors look pretty, sad it did not pigment well.
LA colors is not a good company to begin with. LA girl is better than that. I guess LA girl is not available on Shopmissa. Great review!
Nice review. The colours look pretty but since they lack pigmentation no point having it. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Seating, I’m leary of eyeshadow that only costs a dollar, I do like these colors though xox
For the price it looks good for beginners!

Nice review. Wish it was more pigmented but then we can’t expect high out of such a low priced product. Have a great day ahead!

Hello again! I was “off”, travelling, and when back I swear I needed recovery from holidays! Well, the colors look nice, but as you said you wouldn’t recommend the palette because the pigmentation is not so good… I prefer when it is 🙂 But the colors are beautiful!
