LA Girl Neon Eyeliner Fresh, Review

It is rare to find bright neon-colored eyeliners in the market. There are some high-end brands with some beautiful colored eyeliners, but they are either super pricey or not easily available in India. When LA Girl came out with their bright colored eyeliners, I grabbed all the shades. Though Maybelline also has some amazing shades in their eyeliner range, but, the colors of the LA Girl eyeliners are completely different. I have already reviewed the shade Electric from the collection, and today I will be sharing my experience about ‘LA Girl Neon Eyeliner Fresh’.

Ingredients:

A list of ingredients is mentioned on the plastic wrap that comes surrounding the new pencil, but in order to use the eyeliner pencil, one has to remove the plastic wrap and hence the list of ingredients is also removed. The list of ingredients is not mentioned anywhere else and not even on LA Girl’s official website.

Packaging:

These LA Girl Neon eyeliners look identical to many other pencil eyeliners available in the market. They are regular wooden pencil sticks which need to be sharpened after every few uses. Their bright color is the only thing that differentiates them from other pencil liners available in the market. As the actual product is neon-colored, so is its pencil. The shade Fresh has a beautiful turquoise colored pencil. The lid of the liners is transparent and sturdy which makes the liner pencils travel-friendly.

My Experience with LA Girl Neon Eyeliner Fresh:

The shade Fresh is a beautiful turquoise colored eyeliner which is perfect for a subtle yet bright look. The eyeliner color can be used as a base on all over the lid, in the waterline or even in the inner corners of the eyes. I personally bought the shade to be used in the waterline and I love the way it makes my eyes look. As the shade is bright enough, it can be used with dark smoky eyes or even for an everyday makeup look and can add an oomph factor in both the cases.

The shade Fresh has good pigmentation. I won’t say that a single swipe is good, but a couple of swipes works really well. The formulation of the pencil is soft and it does not irritate my eyes while applying these couple of coats. The pencil glides smoothly on the waterline and also blends pretty well on the lid.

The staying power of the color is also decently well. If used as a base all over the lid, it stays a good 5-6 hours without creasing. Even when used on the waterline, the color does stay easily up to 3-4 hours after which it might seem to fade and re-application is required. The formula does not seem to bleed even in super hot temperature, but as it is a lighter shade, I did not expect it to bleed or smudge.

Overall Experience:

Overall, I will say that I am in love with the color. I do not have a similar color in my collection nor have I seen many brands making such a pretty eye pencil shade. The formula is creamy and easy to use and it also lasts a good amount of hours. I am not very happy with the price range, but as it is rare to find this color, I do not actually regret buying it.
