The product that I have today is Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Liner Pink Blush. These lip pencils are available in 6 different shades but as Pink Blush is a pink toned pencil, I decided to try this one.

My take on Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Liner Pink Blush:

Like a usual lip liner, this too comes in a pencil form with a colored base. The color of the base is same as that of the shade of the liner, which helps to recognize the color without opening the cap of the pencil. The pencil is not too soft and hence is not too difficult to sharpen.

Pink Blush as the name suggests is a shade of pink that looks good with the majority of the pink lipsticks. It is a natural looking color that can be used on a daily basis for not only lining the lips but also as a complete lip color. The company claims the pencil to be waterproof and it is kind of true, but only if you use this as a liner. When the pencil is used to color the entire lip, it cannot stay for long. The color tends to fade from the interior sections of the lips making it look liner a liner only. If used for lining, the color stays for a long time. The color is non-transferable which further improves its staying power.

The pencil is easy to use and carry too. It glides on super smoothly onto the lips making application an easy job. Due to the fine tip, it can easily get the perfect shape of the lips and it does help to stop the lipstick from leaking.

Overall after considering both the price and the quality, I personally liked how it worked on me. I won’t say that I loved it, but it works pretty well as a lip liner and does stay for a long time on lips. But when used as an overall color, it does not stay for long and it might feel drying to the lips. It might also accentuate the lines on the lips.
