I wanted to try all the shades from Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon collection as soon as they were launched because these were one of the most affordable lip crayons available in the market. After trying all the colors and their formulations, I can say that some of the shades are better than the others. Today I will be sharing my experience with ‘Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon in Mauve Magic’

My take on Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon in Mauve Magic:

Like all the other Lip Crayons from Lakme, the shade Mauve Magic too comes packed like a crayon which has its own sharpener. The lid of the crayon is black in color and it is sturdy to travel with. The product does not smell like a crayon but it has a sweet fragrance, almost like a candy, which does not linger after application.

The shade Mauve Magic is a normal pink shade which is not something unique. But the shade is free of shimmers and is good for daily use. The formula of the lip crayon is soft and easy to work with. The shade is decently pigmented and it just takes a single swipe to make the color opaque. But I personally like to use the shade twice in order to make it last little longer.

It does not accentuate flaws on my lips, nor does it makes them dry. But if you have poorly chapped lips this won’t look good on you. Staying power of the shade is average and it transfers to any surface it touch. The shade does leave a tiny bit of stain but the stain too, does not last too long.

Overall thoughts:

I do like the fact that these crayons are affordable and easy to work with. Also, they do come with their own sharpener. But, I am not very impressed with the color selection. The collection does not have any shade that is difficult to find in other brands. But if the price range is considered, the some of the shades are good to work with. I personally liked the color Mauve Magic. All I wish is that it stayed a little longer.

Cons of Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon in Mauve Magic:

Not so good staying power
Gets easily transferred
Non-retractable. Though it comes with its own sharpener, sharpening wastes a lot of product.

Will I buy this product again?

I already have all the shades from the collection, also the shade Mauve Magic is not something which I cannot find in other brands, so, I might not buy this product again.
