Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara

As I mentioned in my previous Post “Lakme 9 to 5 Haul”, I will be reviewing all the products that are included in my Haul one by one and today the one I will be reviewing today is the famous Eyeconic mascara. Though I included this in my recent haul, this product was not brought with the other products. I have had this product for quite a while now and I have used it several times to have an opinion on the same.

My take on the product:

Packaging: The mascara comes packed in a black tube which is slightly different in design than most of the other tubes. It is sleek and is travel friendly too. The main part of any mascara is its wand, and as it is a curling mascara it has a curved wand. The curved wand helps in easy application and does play an important role in curling the lashes.

Now, the company claims this to be a curling mascara which is kind of true. It does curl the lashes and compliments the eyelash curler very well but unfortunately the mascara does not hold the curls very well, at least not for me. I am not saying that this makes the lashes flat, but it does not work as I expect a curling mascara to work. But, if I consider the price point, it is just for Rs 300 which makes it one of the most affordable curling mascaras in the market and so it is a good product for everyday use. It’s especially good for girls who are starting building their makeup kit but does not have much money to start with.

I usually apply mascara to give my lashes some volume and to make them seem longer, but this mascara does not do any of these but it does not claim to do so either. It is not waterproof which makes it really easy to remove. I personally do not like waterproof mascaras as I tend to pluck my lashes whenever I try to remove waterproof mascaras. So here the mascara scores for me.

Overall, I would say that I do like this mascara, I am not in love with this, but as it is an affordable one in the curling range I do like it. It especially works well with an eyelash curler.

• Nice and sturdy packaging
• Nice curvy want
• Easy to use
• Do not clump
• Does not feel heavy
• Imparts a good black color to the lashes in around 2 coats
• Works pretty decently in the curling department
• Not waterproof and hence easy to remove

Cons:

• Does not do anything except curling
• Do not hold the curls for long
