Today I will be reviewing N.Y.C. HD Color Trio Eye Shadow Urban Spice, an eyeshadow trio from the brand NYC. These trios come in a variety of shades and the one I have today is called Urban Spice. Urban Spice is a trio with two neutral shades and a darker color. Continue reading to know my experience with this trio.

Packaging:

The trio comes packed in a rectangular packaging with a transparent lid. The lid opens up vertically whereas the 3 colors are placed horizontally. The trio comes with a mini dual side applicator which is actually of no use especially because of its small size. The shadows contain a plastic sheet that mentions the area where the shadows can be applied.

My take on N.Y.C. HD Color Trio Eye Shadow Urban Spice:

Color: As I mentioned above the trio contains two neutral kinds of shades and a darker shade. The darkest shade is a dark green which contains loads of golden shimmers. The presence of shimmers is very obvious as they are present in a large amount. The first color of the trio is a highlighting color which actually does not contain any obvious shimmers but gives a bright pearly shine. The third color of the trio is a peachy color which also contains golden colored shimmers.

Pigmentation: All the three colors in the trio are highly pigmented. A single swipe imparts a high amount of color to the lids; though blending them might fade the color a bit. The colors can be layered up to get more intense color.

Texture: All the colors are very smooth to apply. The colors do contain shimmers, but that does not make it uneasy to use. The colors are easy to blend and they go very well with each other.

Staying Power: The colors stay on the lids for a pretty long time, though they are not very long staying one and will of course not stay for the whole day but they do have a decent staying time. The colors can stay without fading for 3-4 hours after which they fade. The colors might crease on oily lids but this can be avoided by using a good eye primer underneath the shadow.

It is a nice affordable palette with numerous color options. I might not buy the same color again but yes I would definitely try some other shades.
