It has been more than 18 months since I posted my Nykaa nail polish collection. I didn’t review all the shades in details as I wasn’t too sure about every color I had. Even today, I still have some shades which I kind of like while some other I have gotten rid of. Today I will be writing about Nykaa Nail Enamel Hasta La Pista, shade number 64.
Since the past few years, Nykaa has grown a lot as a brand and have also introduced a bunch of nail polishes in different finishes. The shade Hasta La Pista is one of their 85 regular polish shades but is a part of their Pastel Nail Polish collection.
Price: Rs 179 for 9 ml of product (BUY HERE) When I bought the shades months back, it was priced at Rs 149.

Packaging:
Like most of the other Nykaa polishes, this one too has a square shaped glass bottle with a black cap. The cap is sturdy and safe to travel with, but as it is a glass bottle, care must be taken while traveling. The brush given with the polish is decently sized, it takes just two swipes to cover the complete width of the nail. The name of the polish is mentioned on a sticker pasted on the side of the bottle and the number of the shade is mentioned in a sticker pasted on the top of the cap.
Though remembering the shade with just its number is not very convenient, the bottle is designed in such a way that the actual shade of the polish is visible even from the top. Which means that even if you keep the bottle in a drawer packed with other polishes, you can easily pick the required shade by recognizing the color.
My Experience with Nykaa Nail Enamel Hasta La Pista:
I would start my experience by saying that I love pastel polishes which was the initial reason for me buying this shade. The shade Hasta La Pista is a beautiful pastel pista shade which is not formulated to be matte but is not glossy either. The color looks beautiful on nails and is decently pigmented too.
One coat of the polish is not sufficient for an opaque color, it does impart some color, but the pigmentation is not even and at least 2-3 coats are required for an opaque color. The formulation of the color is kind of thick, which makes 2-3 coats difficult to dry. I personally like fast drying formulas and if you are someone like me, this one might not be the best option for you. Staying power of the color is good. If applied properly, it can stay easily up to 4-5 days without fading or even chipping.
The color is a beautiful looking subtle shade of green and is good for ladies who do not want to experiment with bold greens.
Overall Experience:
Overall, as per my experience, the color is beautiful but I am not so happy with the formula. I have this polish for more than a year and it is still good for use. The formula does not change at all with time (consistency and fluidity of the formula remain the same). The color is definitely worth investing 180 bucks.
