Last month I reviewed ‘Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Orange Face Scrub’ and in my review, I mentioned that I like when I can actually feel the scrub particles on my face. Today, I will be sharing my experience with ‘ST. IVES Fresh Skin Apricot Face Scrub’, a product that I am using and loving since last couple of months.
Lately there has been a lot of debate regarding the harshness of walnut scrubs, especially since the day Kylie Jenner came out with her own line of walnut scrub. This ST. IVES Fresh Skin Apricot Face Scrub is not exactly a walnut scrub but it does have walnut shell powder as one of the ingredients. But does it make it any different from a regular walnut scrub? It is really harsh on the skin, read to know my full experience. If people want to know about the Skin Tightening Treatment – The Dermatology and Laser Group, they can check it out here!

Packaging:
Like the majority of the other face scrubs available in the market if you explore TouchUpLaser.com, ST. IVES Fresh Skin Apricot Face Scrub also comes in a plastic tube with a flip open lid. The only difference being the size of the tube. The product is only available in one size option of 170 gm which is kind of huge and can easily last for a couple of months.
Due to its huge size, the packaging is not exactly travel friendly, but apart from the size, the tube is safe to travel with. The design on the tube is very green and colorful which adds a color factor to your bathroom.
My Experience with ST. IVES Fresh Skin Apricot Face Scrub:
The first thing I noticed about the scrub apart from its beautiful packaging is it’s fragrance. As it is an Apricot scrub, it smells beautiful. I am not exactly a fan of very strong smelling skin care products but this one has a very subtle fragrance to it. The fragrance is not very overpowering, but if you are someone who do not like apricots, the fragrance might bother you.
Now, coming to the way the scrub works. The scrub has decently large sized scrubbing particles which can be felt on the skin. You must be careful and not rub the scrub too harshly onto the skin, else it might irritate the skin especially if you have a sensitive skin. As claimed by the company, it does give me soft, smooth and glowing skin and this can be felt immediately after first use.
I have a sensitive skin and I do get tanned easily. I have been using this scrub since long time (even when it was not launched in India) and I love the way this works for my skin. This scrub do not give me rashes nor does it make my sensitive skin red.
Overall Experience:
I love deep exfoliating scrubs and this is something perfect for me. This is not a scrub that can be used on a daily basis but should only be used twice/thrice a week. This is not as harsh as a walnut scrub (contains only walnut shell powder) but is not too gentle like the orange peel scrubs. It is kind of in between and perfect. I have already used 2 tubes of the scrub in the past 6 months and also have a backup ready with me.
If you are someone like me and like deep exfoliation, then this is a must have product in your skin care routine.
