Hello, beautiful Ladies!
Today I will be talking about a product from Sugar Cosmetics. Sugar Cosmetics is a brand which is not very old in the Indian market, in fact, I didn’t even know that the brand existed until I saw it in one of the FabBag. A few months ago I received a liquid eyeliner called Eye Told You So Waterproof Eyeliner in the shade 01 Black Swan in my FabBag and since then it is the only eyeliner I am using.
After launching their kohl pencil and liquid eyeliner, the company came out with their Matte As Hell Crayon Lipsticks, and when I saw the reviews I wanted to try all of them. One day while surfing the FabBag site, I came across this set from Sugar Cosmetics called “Eye Spy, Lips Don’t Lie” which instantly caught my attention as it contained everything Sugar had at that time and as everything was in a set the price of the box was much lower than the actual price of all the individual prices.
Initially, I read that the box will be limited for a certain period of time but luckily, it was not so and it is still available on FabBag and even on Nykaa.
“Eye Spy, Lips Don’t Lie” Makeup Box contains:
1 x Twist and Shout Fadeproof Kajal – 01 Black Velvet (399)
1 x Eye Told You So Waterproof Eyeliner – 01 Black Swan (699)
4 x Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick – All Four Shades Below (Rs 799 each)
- Scarlett O’Hara
2. Mary Poppins
3. Poison Ivy
4. Holly Golightly
Price: Considering the prices of all the products in the box, the products cost Rs 4294, but the box is kept at a special price of Rs 3499 (at least on FabBag). Though Nykaa sells it for Rs 4294, but due to present sales on Nykaa, this box is priced at Rs 4079. (BUY HERE)
As I purchased my Makeup Box from FabBag, I paid only Rs 3499 for all the 6 products.
Let’s have a deeper look of the products present inside the bag:
“Twist and Shout Fadeproof Kajal – 01 Black Velvet” and “Eye Told You So Waterproof Eyeliner – 01 Black Swan”
I have tried both the kajal and the liquid liner and I love them both, but if I have to select between the two I would go for the liquid liner as it has a felt tip shaped applicator which is perfect to get a winked liner right, but it does not dry as it is a liquid liner and whenever the product finishes on the tip, more product can be loaded just by dipping the tip into the bottle.
The best part about the kajal is that it is retractable and I have when I have to sharpen my pencils. This kajal saves me from the hassle of sharpening the product.
Matte As Hell Crayon Lipsticks
These lipsticks are available in 4 different shades and the makeup box contains all four of them.
“Mary Poppins” is the brightest color out of the four. It is a bright fuchsia toned pink which is perfect to give a pop of color to any makeup look.
“Poison Ivy” is a marsala wine red kind of a shade. It is the only shade that contains some shimmers in it.
“Scarlett O’Hara” is a beautiful shade of blue toned red which unlike some other reds is pretty comfortable to wear.
“Holly Golightly” is the lightest color out of the lot. It is a simple everyday nude color which goes well with the majority of the makeup looks.
All the 4 shades in the makeup box have pretty much the same matte formulation but personally, for me, Poison Ivy was the most difficult to work with. Due to the dark color, it somehow managed to get into the fine lines in my lips and make them visible. All the other colors are fine in this department. Being matte, the lip colors can be a bit drying but nothing to make me uncomfortable.
Overall I am in love with the majority of the products of this box and would be writing a detailed review with proper swatches of all of them.
Do I recommend this product?
Of course Yes! With the reduced price tag of Rs 3499, these products are a steal.
Rating: 4.5/5
