Today’s review would be about a lip product that I bought almost a year ago but never actually used it enough to write about it. It is one of the many lip product formulas from Sugar Cosmetics. Most of you must be aware of the brand Sugar Cosmetics and the fact that they keep on launching new products regularly. The brand has a ton of lipstick formulas to choose from and their most loved and most affordable one is their Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipsticks.
I haven’t personally tried the liquid lipstick formula as I have read that it is a bit drying and I do not like products that are drying. But when the brand came out with their Suede Matte Lipcolor collection, I decided to give it a try and bought 3 shades from the collection. Today I will share my thoughts about ‘Suede Matte Lipcolour Crepe Coral’, a pretty peachy coral shade.

Packaging:
As it has been over a year since I bought this lip product, I do not have the outer box with me and I am not too sure about how it looks or what all details it contains. But the actual product comes in a rectangular shaped plastic tube with a kind of translucent packaging. The color of the product can be seen from the packaging and the name of the shade is mentioned on a sticker placed at the bottom of the tube. The tube has nothing written on it except the name of the product and the fact that it is made in Italy.
I love the packaging of these lipcolors. They look really beautiful and classy. The lid is tight enough and the plastic tube makes it a good companion to travel with. I like the shape of the applicator too. It makes the application process effortless and picks just the right amount of product.
My Experience with Suede Matte Lipcolour Crepe Coral:
The shade Crepe Coral is a peachy coral shade which almost looks like a terracotta red when initially applied. The formula takes a couple of minutes to dry completely after which the color looks more on the coral side. It is a Suede formula which makes it super soft and creamy to apply. It glides on smoothly on the lips without many efforts.
You may or may not use a lip liner with this particular color, it depends on your preference. I personally do not use any lip liner with this color. In an initial couple of minutes, when the product is still wet, it is not transfer-proof. Once, completely dry it does not transfer, which increases it’s staying power. The color remains on the lips until you will actually remove it at the end of the day. It might lose some of its colors during the day after meals, but it still remains there.
Everything about the formula of this product looks fine, but I am still not exactly a fan of the formula. As I mentioned earlier, I do not like products that make my lips feel dry. Though this does not make me uncomfortable, but, after around an hour of application, my lips feel dry. Surprisingly the feeling of dryness remains just for around 1-2 hours after which it starts to feel normal again.
Another thing I am not too happy about in this product is the fact that it accentuates all the lines on my lips. How hard I might try to prep my lips before application, this always manages to get into the cracks. The color and the formula looks beautiful from far away (even after hours of application), but when you look up close, all the lines on the lips become visible and makes the lips look gross.
Overall Verdict:
Overall, it is an average product for me. I do like some aspects about the color and its formula, like the staying power and the actual shade, but I am not a fan of the fact that my lips do not look good after a few hours of application. Though for the price range it is a good product and if you can manage the feeling of little dryness then this line does have some beautiful shades to choose from.
